Review

The American Express Preferred Rewards Gold charge card offers an encouraging amount of credit to cardholders having average to excellent credit scores. As bills come, cardholders must pay for monthly expenses in full. This is probably a good strategy for those keen to avoid paying for accumulated debt. There is no interest or introductory rate applicable. Cards do not incur the $125 annual fee during the first 12 months of card usage.

The card has a Membership Rewards® program that earns 10,000 bonus points for purchases leading up to $500 within 3 months of card usage. Cardholders earn a reward point for $1 spent on an eligible purchase. As purchases get bigger, reward points will accumulate, making a cardholder eligible to redeeming more travel, shopping and entertainment rewards.
